In the article "hype" the author Kalle Lasn states how advertisement has become toxic. Advertisements has increased in such a way in our daily lives. You'll find it every where you go and there's no escape in that.
Every where you go you will find posters, billboards, and AD's delivering a message about the product. For example, when you're watching a show and a commercial comes up, you'll see Old Navy or Sears saying they have a "back to school sale" just to motivate you to go and purchase their clothes.
I agree with this article in how these advertisements has increased because when you're riding the subway, you'll see a billboard. When you're watching televison, you'll see a commercial. When you're buying fast foods, you'll see a "new snack" poster. There's many examples and reasoning why i do agree and so on.
However, there is no way North America can get away from these advertisement for the fact that it'll be everywhere you go. It has increased and there is no way we can escape from it.

Hype
The passage "hype" is an article about how North America is drowned with advertisements. They're are billboards, commercials, and announcements on the radio trying to promote their products. Meaning, there is no way to get out of these advertisements.
One of the ideas that caught my attention was the billboards. At first, advertisements were used in commercials but now it went from TV to billboard, buses, banks, and etc. It's crazy how the media goes crazy about these promotions. In my opinion, I believe that these billboards and advertisements brainwash people in such a way. As in people would be closed mined just because they saw something or heard it.
Sometimes people don't look beyond these advertisements and see for themselves and get their own opinion or look at the facts. For example, many people used to think that the sun use to go up and down. Everyone believed that until Galileo thought to himself " what is the reason" then he found out that the earth rotated. My example may not be the best explanation but the point is that sometimes in life you cant go by these advertisements because it might not be real. It's actually best if you look beyond it and see for yourself. Don't let the media fool you with these promotions.
